Do you love cheese as much as Robin and I do? To help you scale your reply accurately, I will tell you that we love cheese very, very, VERY much. We also both like interesting sciencey stuff. So I was thrilled to come across this video of a segment about the science of cheese, produced by KQED’s excellent QUEST series, which describes itself as “a multimedia series exploring Northern California science, environment and nature.” Their video and radio pieces (all available online) are as accessible and entertaining as they are educational. In the segment below, Marin County’s renowned Cowgirl Creamery serves as the setting for a fascinating lesson on the history, science, and art of making cheese. Awesome.
